Open in 1973, Tarbert Comprehensive is a non-demoninational
second level school catering for students from a catchment area
covering Glin,Ballyhahill and Athea in West Limerick and Tarbert,
Ballylongford and Moyvane in North Kerry, on the banks of the
Shannon.
The school motto "MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO" a healthy mind
in a healthy body- encapsulates the ethos of the school as there
is a strong emphasis on extra curricular activities and pride
in a fine record of academic achievement. |
